Whether you subscribe to them individually or as part of a bundle deal, Disney+ and Hulu both have a lot to offer streaming fans. Disney has the ultra-popular Marvel and Star Wars franchises, while Hulu brings the heat with tons of movies and shows from network partners. Between the two services, they release a ton of content every week, so I’ll make it easy for you by picking three worthwhile new entries. Alone: The Beast: Season 1 (Aug. 2)
The History Channel has pivoted to “the extremely intense survival reality show channel,” and we’re here for it. If you haven’t heard of 2020 series Alone: The Beast, the premise is simple: a lone survivalist is dropped into a hostile environment, from the Arctic tundra to the Louisiana swamps, with nothing but the clothes on their back and a freshly killed animal and told to survive for a month. Fun!

Naming The Dead (Disney+, Aug. 3)
There are 50,000 dead bodies in the United States that are unidentified, leaving families without closure and crimes without solutions. Partnering with the DNA Doe Project, investigators are working to find the identities of these John and Jane Does and give them the honest burial they deserve. Each episode of Naming The Dead follows the victim of a cold case and their quest for a real name.
King Of The Hill: Season 14 (Aug. 4)
Mike Judge’s cult hit animated series returns after 15 years away, and we couldn’t be more excited. After selling propane in Saudi Arabia for 20 years, Hank and Peggy Hill move back to Arlen to reunite with old friends. A grown-up Bobby is now working as a chef in big-city Dallas. Most of the original cast is returning, minus a few who have tragically died in the interim. Will King of the Hill be as relatable and funny in the post-Jan. 6th era? We’ll see.
